ANCIENT DESIGNS OF POSEIDS

In Greek mythology, Poseidon (Greek: Ποσείδῶν) is one of the main Olympian Gods, the supreme god of waters (lakes, rivers, springs) and by extension the sea (hence the name Pelagian).

So with the extraordinary fiction of anthropomorphism, it didn’t take long for amazing mythical figures to develop, especially about the waters, their dynamics, the sight of them, but also the various emotions they cause. As a result, a great number of excellent myths were gradually created, this originality of the Greek spirit, as observed by P. Decharme.[1]

Poseidon was recognized and established as the dominant deity of the waters and especially of the sea, the progenitor of many secondary deities, but also of amazing sea monsters, tentacles and fish tails, which are etymologically derived from the various aspects and actions of the liquid element.
