Play & Give Greek Fighters of 1821

Two Greek Fighters of 1821, the Greek Commander-in-Chief and the Greek Captain, are depicted with PLAYMOBIL figures and pay tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, as part of the PLAYMOBIL play & give institution. The PLAYMOBIL play & give social program offers joy and support to thousands of children throughout Greece. As every year, part of the proceeds will be allocated to support the purposes of the “ORAMA ELPIDAS” Association.

Collection of the National Historical Museum – Athens In papyrus PLAYMOBIL included in the package, the first two lines from the revolutionary hymn “Thurios” by Rigas Velestinlis, first published in 1797 and distributed throughout Turkish-occupied Hellenism, appear. The female captain holds the flag of Spetses, the first Greek island that entered the Revolution of 1821.
