Goddess Athena

In 2016, for the first time in the history of PLAYMOBIL, 2 collectible figures inspired by ancient Greece are manufactured, exclusively for the Greek market and for the PLAYMOBIL play & give Corporate Social Responsibility program. Zeus and Athena are the new protagonists, who convey messages of support and love for children in need. Athena was the beloved daughter of Zeus. Her mother was Metis, first wife of Zeus. Zeus, after a prophecy, learned that Metis would give birth to a child, who would take his power. To avoid this Zeus swallowed the mother while she was pregnant with Athena. After a few months Zeus began to suffer from headaches and called Hephaestus to help him. Hephaestus opened the head of Zeus and from inside the goddess Athena was thrown in armor, with helmet and shield.
